Notes from March 13, 2019 Meeting
Dear Everybody,
We had a really good meeting today!
Judy Haenel returned after her trip to Texas and Mardi Gras. She tells us that she has taken over the work for another flower shop. So apparently her plans to try out for the next season of Naked and Afraid have been tabled for now. She will be powering her way through proms, Easter, Mother’s Day, graduation, weddings, funerals, and other assorted flower-laden occasions.
Cathy Smitch was the member speaker today, and presented FAQs and her answers to them. She continues to do framing in addition to photography, and says that wedding photography is her favorite kind. However, we did press her on the topic of memorial photography, which is making a comeback in the United States, especially as the population diversifies. Cathy said she would be willing to assist with memorial photography, too.
Lupe gave us an update on her mother-in-law’s adventures in the world of dating, and we all agreed that seniors hitting the dating scene are more hair-raising that teenagers. Lupe is currently sandwiched in between two generations of stress producers.

This event is open to all, and proceeds will benefit The Sons of the American Legion. Cathy and Justin assist with the chicken fried steak dinner every month. Modern Woodmen will be sponsoring the event. For more information, call Susan at 602-987-1005.
