Notes from March 6, 2019 Meeting

Dear Everybody,

We were a lively bunch this morning.

The raffle was sponsored by Cathy Smitch, and she arranged it so that everybody went home with something. Her years as a preschool age daycare provider was on clear display today. Thanks, Cathy. I have my pretty pad of paper out where I can threaten anybody who tries to use it.

It was a true pleasure seeing Michelle today, and welcoming Marie Deangelis from MidFirst Bank. Marie will be representing the bank at the weekly meetings, and is available to help with all things banking right across the street. Here is Marie’s contact information:

Marie also invited everybody to a business networking event next Wednesday, March 13, from 5:00-6:30 at the bank. There will be a business card drawing, refreshments, and networking. If you are interested in representing your business, RSVP to Marie at
623-544-4526.

We were also very glad to see three of the four Rochas – Tori, Aaden, and Kayleb. Aaden – who just turned two, but has an old entrepreneurial spirit — is still considering employment options, preferably ones that involve bears.
Robin said that the time is counting down for purchasing raffle tickets to benefit the Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce. The SWVCC is giving away a restaurant gift certificate every day in March.

Susan Fitzgerald said that she still has dance tickets available.

And dance mom, Brooke, said that there are two competitions left in the competition season, then her life returns to its normal state of no free time. Brooke also announced that there is an estate sale this week at Z’s Fine Jewelry, and other events on the horizon. I urge you to watch the NWN Facebook page for current offerings.

We thank Brooke for returning from Ireland. We weren’t sure if she would voluntarily.

Audrey’s birthday is Friday (March 8) and Susan Fitzgerald’s birthday is Sunday (March 10). We wish them both as much celebratory hijinks as they can tolerate.

Have a great rest of the week, be kind to yourself and small animals, and we will see each other again next week.
