Massage for Health

Did you know that massage actually helps you burn calories at a higher rate afterwards? Yes, it is actually true. Now that we have gotten the trivia type fact out of the way let's get to the info that a hectic scheduled business woman really needs.  Today's To Do List:
#1-46 everything else
#47 take care of self
Let me guess that getting the dog to the groomer is even higher than #47.  If the world perceived massage as the proactive health care step that it is and not a luxury or a treat. If it was more widely recognized as being as smart a health choice as getting enough sleep, exercising or taking vitamins, might you be a little more inclined to move that number up the list and get specific about that step being a massage?  Well guess what? Dr. Oz, Oprah and most of your girlfriends know this. And now you do too. Hey, those are the ones who seem to know it all. Especially that best girlfriend. Did you also know that when it comes to the kind of recuperation your body does when it's asleep, 1 hour of massage is equal to 4 hours of sleep. It also helps boost your immune system (that stress tears down) and improves skin and muscle tone. It improves focus and performance on many levels. And yep, it really does burn a few calories. Ok, so it won't counteract the Snickers bar you had at 3 this afternoon to keep your head off your desk but we'll all take what we can get -- right? So after you read this do yourself make two really smart Busy Business Woman (BBW) decisions. Plan on visiting the Northwest Women's Network and call Kendahl Singletary-Steggall to schedule a massage.
