In 1994 Mark and Terri purchased Metro Accounting Services, a business started in the mid 1970s to provide basic bookkeeping and tax services, and incorporated the company. The business has continued to grow, and we now provide a broader range of tax, accounting and administrative services. In 2005 the name was changed to Deer Valley Accountants, LLC to more accurately reflect our current physical location.

Mark has been in the accounting field since the mid 1970s and has a B.S. in Business Administration with options in Finance and Accounting. He has extensive experience in managing and reorganizing businesses - from the small "mom and pop" to large corporations. Terri's background is in office management, training clients to use the accounting software, and preparing payroll reports.

Although we are located in Peoria, Arizona, we serve clients in all states. Because we are a small firm, we maintain close and open relationships with each of our clients. Our objective is to provide our clients with every opportunity to minimize their taxes within the framework of the law.

Through the years, music has been used to raise the spirit and rest the mind. It has been used in ceremony and informality.

Science is now revealing our innate knowledge of the power of music. We are finding that music, if used properly, can stabilize the heart rate, increase oxygen saturation, lower blood pressure, and lessen the awareness of pain.

Music at the bedside can be focused on each patient individually. The style and rhythm can be directed specifically for one patient's needs and desires with the end result of more patient comfort and satisfaction, resulting in shorter hospital stays.

Colleen started playing harp, as an adult, after her husband fulfilled a life-long dream by buying her a harp for Christmas.

Her first teacher taught her to play in the ancient Celtic tradition of holding the harp on her left shoulder, over her heart, to help the music come from love.

In a search for advanced schooling, Colleen connected with Laurie Riley, a professional musician who is also a Certified Music Practitioner. Ms. Riley is the founder of the Advanced Certified Clinical Musicianship program from which Colleen received her ACCM certification. Since her certification, Colleen has been playing her harps at bedside in hospitals, hospices, and private homes for both patients and their families.

Bedside music is live music offered at the bedsides of inpatients, as an unobtrusive enhancement to the healing environment, offered by certified practitioners of bedside music. No solicitation of interaction or verbal therapy is made.

Virginia's House is an elegant home built in 1913 and is used today to host many types of functions. Our main business is weddings and receptions, however, we also love to accommodate all other kinds of events. Our parties have included small graduation ceremonies, bridal luncheons, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, tea parties for all ages (the little girls get "special" treatment) and birthday parties. We will also host family gatherings after funeral or memorial services.

Located in historic downtown Glendale, the house has a wonderful history! Most recently, the home was featured on HGTV's Restore America as the Showcase house, giving a brief history and several "before/after" images of the home. What a truly remarkable experience!!
